Plural Nouns Digital Escape Room – Zoo Mystery

Singular and plural noun practice

Grades 2nd-5th Grammar 30–35 minutes

Turn plural noun practice into a story-led digital escape activity for Grades 2–3. The Case of the Mixed-Up Zoo invites students to help Nicky and Clio restore Sunnybrook Zoo before opening time. Animal identification signs, garden labels, feeding notes, and zoo records have become mixed up. Students use singular and plural nouns to put the zoo back in order.

Across seven interactive challenges, students practice adding -s, -es, and -ies, recognizing irregular plurals, and choosing the correct noun in a sentence. The adventure includes sorting, matching, fill-in sentences, multiple-choice questions, picture-based clues, and a final cipher challenge. Short story sections connect the activities so the grammar practice has a clear purpose.

Students work through locations including Monkey Island, Penguin Cove, Giraffe Lookout, Butterfly Garden, Rainforest Trail, and the Animal Care Center before completing the Zoo Entrance challenge. Each completed task reveals a clue. Collected clues stay together in Mission Control, ready for students to use in the final mystery.

The teacher activates the purchase using the code in the purchase PDF, opens the teacher dashboard, and creates a classroom code.
